This unique apartment is built into the thousand year old wall of the ancient castle and over the southern gate.

The famous neighbor just below town is the Abbazia di Monte Oliveto Maggiore, this abbey is the rich Renaissance mother church of a monastic order. Our region grows the highly regarded Brunello and Vine Nobile wines and you can visit many historic towns and sites nearby. Take a train from the local station 10 minute drive away or drive to Siena, about 40 minutes; 1 hour and a half to Florence.

At the front of the apartment is a terrace with a seating area and terra cotta pots with geraniums. Up at the town park you have panoramic views over the Province of Siena.

This small hill-town has an excellent restaurant, the Osteria il Pozzo di Chiusure on the small village square with outside tables, excellent little place serving delicious food.

The town has a general store that is also a coffee shop, and another cafe' with outside seating where you can enjoy a light lunch, and a pizzeria just outside of the town. There's also a hairdresser and a post office.

Within short minute drive you'll find many towns with shops, services and markets. The nearest Autostrada A1 exit is 25 minute drive at Val di Chiana, near the towns of Sinalunga and Bettole.

The location of Chiusure is 30 km south-east of Siena in the center of the province. About 10 minute drive away are the market towns of Asciano and Buonconvento, each with a variety of stores and services, also a weekly outdoor market and a train station. Nearby important towns include Montalcino and Pienza, both under half an hour drive.
