Villa Torriani, spring 2001 The 18th century Villa Torriani is located on the hills 10 km north of Lucca surrounded by gardens, farms and villages.

This large historical villa was carefully restored to include the comforts of a modern home in an elegant and refined setting. With 8 bedrooms and suites, Villa Torriani sleeps up to 13 people.

Villa Torriani is next to the village of San Pancrazio just north of the walled city of Lucca in an area of famous villas, some of which now are museums. From Lucca to Florence is about 1 hour by car or train, only 30 minutes to Pisa and to the beaches of the Italian Riviera at Viareggio.

The main level terrace offers you sweeping views over the vineyards and olive groves, and into the valley below.

The villa has well tended Italian gardens on 2 levels with statues, fountains and terracotta planters with lemon trees.

In a separate building bordering the upper garden is the "tavern" or banquet room for larger gatherings.

Villa Torriani has a private pool with beautiful views, a shaded pergola and a pool-house with shower and toilet. A gate separates the pool area from the upper garden. The pool has a shallow end for easy entry.

And some of the most beautiful beaches of Italy are nearby at the Riviera towns and on the Ligurian coast.
